The exhibition will be held at Bengal Club, Sakchi, Jamshedpur, from January 5 to 7, 2024. Open to citizens, students, enthusiasts, and scholars alike, this exhibition promises a delightful exploration of the fascinating world of numismatics.
The exhibition, running from 10:00 am to 08:00 pm, is a testament to the club's commitment to fostering education and knowledge through the "King of Hobbies" – coin collecting. Having organized this educational event consecutively since 1996, the Coin Collectors Club has become a prominent hub for numismatic enthusiasts in the region.
Coin collectors and students from various schools will showcase their prized collections, spanning from ancient eras to modern times. The Bengal Club, Sakchi, will witness the grand inauguration of 'JAMCOIN 2024' on January 5th, 2024.
As a special feature to encourage school students, the club will host a Quiz Competition on Numismatics on January 6th, 2024, starting from 03:00 p.m. This engaging competition aims to test and enhance the participants' knowledge of coins, making learning about history and culture an enjoyable experience.
Themes for the coin displays include British India coins, proof coins, Hyderabad princely state coins, coins from small islands, and more. The exhibition will also showcase currencies based on captivating themes such as dictators on world banknotes, polymer currencies, high-value devalued currencies, error currencies, and others.
The event promises a competitive spirit, with prizes awaiting the winners and runners in various categories, including School Coin Display, School Quiz, and Club Members' Coin & Currency Display. With the participation of over 15 schools, more than 20 club members, and over 15 dealers, 'JAMCOIN 2024' is anticipated to be a numismatic spectacle of unparalleled magnitude.
