In the year 2024, Jharkhand is going to get the opportunity to host the National School Sports Competition for the first time. The state will get a chance to host 6 different competitions under the 67th National School Sports Competition. It is estimated that more than 5,600 participants will participate in these competitions. The six competitions which have been hosted by the state include Football under 14 boys/girls, Kabaddi under 14 boys/girls, Wushu under 17 and 19 boys/girls, Kho-Kho under 14 boys/girls, Cycling under 14, 17 and 19 boys/girls. Skating includes under 11, 14, 14 and 19 boys/girls.
Football will be organized from 17th January to 21st January, Kabaddi and Wushu will be organized from 24th January to 28th January, Kho-Kho will be organized from 31st January to 4th February, Cycling will be organized from 8th February to 12th February and Skating will be organized from 8th February to 12th February. The event will be held from February 15 to February 19.
All these competitions will be held in Ranchi. State Program Officer of State Education Project, Dhirsen Soreng said that this event is a matter of pride for the state. In the context of the event, continuous guidance is being received from Education Secretary K. Ravi Kumar and State Education Project Director Kiran Kumari Pasi. With the positive vision of both the officials and continuous practice of the team, we will get a chance to win in the national school sports competitions being held for the first time in our home ground. We are all very optimistic about this.
