In a significant move towards industrial growth, the Tinplate Company of India Limited (TCIL), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Jharkhand. The collaboration marks a commitment to economic development and job creation in the state.
Investment and Facility Details: TCIL is set to invest Rs 1,787 crore in establishing a cutting-edge manufacturing facility with a capacity of 300,000 Tons per Annum (TPA) in Jamshedpur. The project, scheduled for commissioning in 2026, is expected to generate over 600 direct and indirect employment opportunities. This initiative aligns with the Jharkhand Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy 2021, emphasizing job creation and economic advancement.
MoU Signing Ceremony: The MoU was formally executed at an event in Ranchi, where R N Murthy, Managing Director of TCIL, and Shri Jitendra Kumar Singh, IAS, Secretary-Industries, Government of Jharkhand, exchanged commitments. The ceremony marked a pivotal moment in fostering a partnership that aims to contribute significantly to the state's industrial growth.
