The Chhattisgarh Forest Department on Thursday arrested three persons for trying to sell a pangolin for Rs 10 lakh in Kanker district.
Dalsu, Ashok Potai and Naresh Meshram were apprehended by the anti-poaching team of Udanti Sitanadi Tiger Reserve (Gariaband) and forest personnel of the Kapsi forest range, an official statement said.
The three hail from Maharashtra. They were caught while heading to Pakhanjore in Kanker district to sell the pangolin.
The team seized the rare species weighing 11.5 kg.
