State president of Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Vyapar Mandal, Sanjay Gupta, met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and apprised him of the current problems of the traders and demanded waiver of the minimum charge, fixed charge and all other charges on commercial electricity bills for this fiscal.
“We have also demanded that the government should waive commercial house tax and announce a financial package for the small and medium traders,” Gupta said here on Sunday.
He said that the traders’ association also demanded an assistance of Rs 10 lakh for the dependents of the families of those traders who died of COVID-19. “The traders dealing with essential commodities should be treated as frontline corona warriors and Rs 50 lakh ex gratia should be given to their families like other government employees,” he said and added that their association demanded that markets should open with some restrictions from June 1. Ï have told the chief minister that in this adverse economic condition, the businessman is looking towards the state government for financial support. We expect cooperation from the state government,” he said.
