The Union minister for Heavy Industries Mahendra Nath Pandey has said that the Global Investors Summit -2023 is bringing into reality the prediction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the third decade of the century will be of Uttarakhand. The Union minister was addressing a session on infrastructure on the second day of the Global Investors Summit in FRI on Saturday. Congratulating the State government for the successful rescue of 41 labourers trapped in a tunnel in Silkyara, the minister said that there is no other example of such a mission in the world. Exhorting the entrepreneurs to invest in Uttarakhand, Pandey said that the State government has formulated industry friendly policies. He said that the focus of the union government is on infrastructure development and an increase of 33 per cent has been made in the budget for infrastructure.
The finance and urban development minister Premchand Agarwal said that there is no other place in the country other than Uttarakhand which has a pollution free environment and good law and order situation.
The additional chief secretary (ACS) Anand Bardhan said that infrastructural activities are in full swing in Uttarakhand. He gave the example of ongoing Char Dham Yatra project and Delhi- Dehradun economic corridor in this regard. He said that the State government has formulated many new policies and has made changes in existing policies to attract investors. The ACS expressed confidence that these policies will bring prosperity in the State in near future.
In the panel discussion the founder CEO of RHP group, Rajiv Bansal appreciated the State government for hosting the summit. The CEO of Doppelmayr, Prafulla Chaudhary said that the ropeway connectivity can play a vital role in fulfilling the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make Uttarakhand a wedding destination.
