The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) has reached a total of 138 gram panchayats in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund district as of Monday, an official statement said on Tuesday.
As many as 1,43,629 villagers participated in the camps held as part of the VBSY.
So far, 3,063 beneficiaries have been registered under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. A total of 4,608 beneficiaries gave their views regarding the benefits of different schemes.
Free health checkups are also being done.
Mahasamund MP Chunnilal Sahu said at a camp on Tuesday that the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra was benefiting the underprivileged and those in need.
VBSY camps will be held in 20 villages on Wednesday.
The VBSY was launched on December 16 to create mass awareness about welfare schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Har Ghar Nal Yojana, Ayushman Card, Kisan Credit Card and more.
