The WCR has one Central Hospital, Divisional Hospital, Sub-Divisional Hospital and Health on West Central Railway which has treated more than 6 lakh out-patients (OPD) were treated during January to December in the year 2023 while more than 17000 inpatients (IPDs) were treated.
More than 1400 patients were treated by the medical department. Minor, major surgeries of more than 500 patients and complex surgeries of 17 patients have also undergone complex surgery i.e. special operation. These include total knee replacement, hip replacement and laparoscopic and cancer surgeries etc.
A total of more than 3700 candidates were medically examined in Railway hospitals. Central Hospital in Jabalpur Under PPP mode, CT scan of patients is being done in the Railway Hospital itself by installing CT scan machine. Its has high modernization, 19 physiotherapy equipment and ophthalmology units of physiotherapy unit in Central Hospital, Jabalpur.
Scanning machine is available in the department. West Central Railway provides high level medical facilities to patients by contracting with private hospitals.
HMIS has been implemented in all modules in all Railway Hospitals/Health Centers of West Central Railway. Workshops are organized for vigilance prevention activities. Apart from this, capacity building among employees regarding proper use of programme, UDM and HMIS and availing IT services for complaint resolution.
Under the Annual Wellness Assurance Checkup Camp, all the railway hospitals of West Central Railway and all Health check-ups of officers/employees were conducted in health centres.
