A woman, whose husband had died in an explosion at the Hi-Tech Hospital in Bhubaneswar, ended her life at Nuagaon village in Khordha district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Suna Samantray, wife of the victim Dilip. They had got married two years ago.
Dilip had sustained critical injuries in an explosion at the hospital during gas filling of the air-conditioner on Friday. Later, he succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment.
Unable to bear the death of her husband, the woman took the extreme step by hanging herself. She was found hanging at her father’s house in the morning.
Police have recovered the body for postmortem and started an investigation into the matter.
