To ensure that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s forthcoming visit to Ayodhya becomes an unforgettable event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid out detailed instructions during a virtual meeting on Thursday.
Joined by senior state government ministers Surya Pratap Shahi and Dayashanker Singh, as well as local authorities, including the mayor of Ayodhya, the chief minister meticulously reviewed preparations for the scheduled programme of the prime minister and provided crucial directives.
The chief minister stressed the importance of infusing the spirit of Lord Rama throughout Ayodhya, with directives to erect a grand archway and organise captivating cultural presentations at various locations.
“Ensure robust security and cleanliness along the designated route for the prime minister’s roadshow,” he said.
Acknowledging the eagerness of the residents of Ayodhya to welcome the prime minister, the chief minister directed the authorities to provide adequate space for the public. “Sages and saints are expected to shower flowers during the roadshow, emphasising the importance of effective communication with them,” he said.
“The roadshow is designed for the general public and requires utmost respect for public sentiments,” he added.
Highlighting the prime minister’s visit, which is poised to bring substantial projects to Ayodhya, the chief minister urged the local administration to collaborate with the Government of India to ensure timely completion of all necessary preparations for this landmark event.
“A public meeting to be addressed by the prime minister is scheduled, with an expected attendance of 1.5 lakh to two lakh citizens from neighbouring districts. Comprehensive preparations, including proper parking facilities along major roads, are imperative. The focus will be on providing basic amenities and effective crowd management,” Yogi observed.
The chief minister further emphasised that given the scale of the event, robust security measures, including aerial surveillance, were imperative. Uniformed security personnel and undercover police should be deployed, strictly adhering to the prime minister’s security protocol, he added.
“Traffic management strategies, in coordination with nearby district administrations, should be implemented to avoid jams on the Lucknow-Gorakhpur road. Timely communication and publicity regarding traffic diversions are essential,” the chief minister said and added, “As Ayodhya braces for the historic visit, these meticulous preparations aim to make Prime Minister Modi’s presence a significant moment in the city’s history.”
