A youth’s body was found hanging from a tree along the Puri-Konark marine drive road in mysterious circumstances on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Aditya Narayan Panda (30), a resident of Durgadaspur under the Pipili police station in Puri district.
As per the deceased’s family members, Aditya was missing after leaving home to attend a feast along with his friends at Barunei hills in Khordha district on August 27. Later, a missing case was lodged by them at the Pipili police station.
Aditya was traced near ‘Kaincha Surakha Ghar’ located along the marine drive road by police throug11`1 11 21h cell phone tracking on Sunday.
Teams of Puri and Konark police which rushed to the spot found the victim hanging from a tree. His motorbike and a water bottle were also found near the spot.
It is being suspected that Aditya was killed by some miscreants, who hung his body from the tree, to make murder look like a suicide.
