Governor Mangubhai Patel said that Awadhesh Pratap Singh University is driving the spirit of education in Vindhya. Education is the basis of development. Education enhances us as better citizens by fostering awareness for our duties. University should simultaneously conduct employment-oriented courses along with providing higher education so that the youth can get employment opportunities. He was addressing the 11th convocation of the Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented many programmes to provide new education policy and employment opportunities to the youth. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the country is developing rapidly in every field. Every youth should participate in the development of society and country. The life of the student should be disciplined. Electricity and water conservation can also be instrumental for development of the country. He wished the students for their future endevours. He said that students should not forget to serve their parents despite their achievements and success.
Governor and Chancellor Mangubhai Patel presented medals and degrees to the students. The function was organised in Pandit Shambhunath Shukla Auditorium. The chief guest, His Excellency the Governor and other guests along with the teachers of the university took out a shobha yatra. The university’s magazine Diksha Parv, booklet Vindhya Bharati and Dikshant Profile were released in the ceremony.
In a motivational speech to the students, the chief guest of the ceremony, Peethadhishwar Swami Riteshwar of Anand Peeth of Vrindavan, said that education which makes one happy is the best. Sanatan Vishwavidyalaya will soon be established to provide a new type of education by combining modern knowledge, science and Sanatan Dharma.
Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that education is the basis of development. Youth should acquire good education and be successful in every field of life. Along with shaping their future, they must also fulfill their duty towards the society and country. Along with education one should be sensitive. When students, teachers, politicians, doctors, engineers and prominent people of every field will be sensitive towards the country and the poor, only then will the country move forward to be the Vishwa Guru. The poor and the people left behind in the race of development are also being taken care of.
MP Janardan Mishra said that convocation does not mean the end of education. Education is acquired throughout life. Students should follow the oath administered at the convocation ceremony today and contribute to the development of the country. The youth should also fulfill their duty by providing assistance in education to the needy. Vice Chancellor Rajkumar Acharya welcomed the guests. He also gave information about the major activities of the university. In the ceremony, degrees and medals were awarded to students who received degrees in various subjects including Arts, Science, Computer Science, Business Economics and Law.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Acharya honoured the guests by presenting them with shawls, shriphal and mementos. MLA Tyonthar Siddharth Tiwari, MLA Mangawan Narendra Prajapati, Collector in-charge Dr. Saurabh Sonwane, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sanskriti Jain, professors and students of the university were present in the ceremony which was conducted by Registrar Dr. Surendra Singh Baghel and Professor Dr. Dinesh Kushwaha.
