Seventeen Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were injured on Friday when a mini truck they were travelling in overturned in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.
The incident took place when the troopers were going from their camp in Phulpad village in the district, Kanker Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel said.
The vehicle carrying men from the 162nd battalion was headed to the Antagarh railway station from where they were to take a train.
The accident occurred near Kumhari village on the Antagarh-Narayanpur road. The injured were rushed to a hospital in Narayanpur.. Later, four of them were referred to Raipur for better treatment.
The BSF is extensively deployed in Kanker district, which falls in Bastar region, for anti-Naxalite operations.
