Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that Republic Day which is a national festival, should be celebrated with dignity. Events to be held at the state and district level should be well-organised. Events should be held with solemnity and splendour right up to the District Panchayat, Municipality, Nagar Parishad, Gram Panchayat Headquarters. Chief Minister Yadav was reviewing the preparations for Republic Day 26 January 2024 in Mantralaya today. Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Director General of Police Sudhir Kumar Saxena, Additional Secretaries, Secretaries and senior officers of various departments attended the meeting.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that arrangements should be made to ensure that public representatives within the district are able to attend the function as per the roster. Invitations should be sent on time. No guest should be left out of the invitation. The Governor’s speech and the Chief Minister’s message should be effective and concise. Tableaux should be eye catching. The performance of Madhya Pradesh’s tableau in Delhi too should be prominent. The tableau of Madhya Pradesh should be made effective enough to be awarded on Republic Day in Delhi. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that tableaux on display in the state also should be attractive. High level performance of cultural programmes should be ensured. Arrangements for releasing attractive balloons should be made. Also there should be arrangements to send bands from battalions at the divisional level. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that attractive lighting arrangements should be made on all government buildings from January 21 itself for the D-day.
It was informed in the meeting that the main function of Republic Day on 26 January 2024 will be held at Lal Parade Ground.
The Governor will hoist the flag at 9 am followed by the salute of parade. Lokrang programme will be organized at Ravindra Bhawan the same evening. A variety of programmes will be organized by the Culture Department from January 26 to January 30. Tableaux based on good governance, public participation and overall development will be organized at the Lal Parade Ground. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that concerned officers should also be present in the programme.
