The Government ITI, Brahmapur, which is known for its innovative skills, has achieved yet another milestone.
It has made a Konark Chakra from scraps for which it won the runners-up prize in the event, ‘Trash to Treasure’ organised by the International Institute of Welding (IIW).
Team ITI Brahmapur will receive a cash award of Rs 15,000 along with a certificate from the IIW in their upcoming event in Bangaluru on January 22. The sculpture will be shown in Greece in their international exhibition. 51 countries are going to participate in the event from July 12 to 17. The institute has received appreciation from diverse quarters across the State for this feat, sources said.
