The district festival of Jharsuguda ‘Dulduli’ concluded on Friday here marking immense enthusiasm and fervour. District Collector Aboli Sunil Naravane graced the event as the chief guest on its final day, emphasising its unique celebration of art and culture.
SP Smit P Parmar as the guest of honor applauded the festival's significance and praised the diverse talents showcased by artists from the local community and across the State.
Under the guidance of Deputy District Collector Kishore Chandra Swain, esteemed dignitaries, including Zilla Parishad chairperson Prabeer Kumar Nayak, Additional District Magistrate Lankeswar Amat, Additional District Collector Brajbandhu Bhoi and DFO Manu Ashok Bhatt from Jharasuguda Forest Division graced the occasion as honorable guests.
The event, spearheaded by senior lawyer Tapas Roy Chowdhury and educationist Tahalu Sahu, demonstrated exceptional stage management. DIPRO Ajay Jena, in his vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to the organising committee members and recognized the best stalls and vendors at the Pallishri fair.
The festival's charitable facet was highlighted through a blood donation camp that amassed 101 donors contributing 101 units of blood, coinciding with the 31st District Foundation Day.
Boasting captivating performances by diverse groups like Shaswat Joshi Creation, Bengali Samiti, Labani of Nagpur, Bharti Dance Council, Ghuduka Dance of Bargarh, Tiranga Act, Krishna Dasavatar Act by Prince Dance Group, and a mock dance by Baripada Project camp, the cultural show was thrilling.
DIPRO Jena announced that this year's Pallisree Mela raked in a substantial turnover of Rs 1.30 crore, adding to the festival's success and its positive impact on the local economy. The festival's fusion of art, culture, generosity, and entertainment made it a truly memorable celebration for all involved.
