Odisha Congress in-charge Ajoy Kumar on Sunday asked the district, block and town Congress committee presidents to actively participate in the ‘Desh Ke Liye Daan’ programme of the party.
Kumar said the Congress would hold a 20-day Jan Sampark Yatra in the State. Senior Congress leaders would go by a bus and meet the grassroots-level leaders and sensitise them about the Narendra Modi and Naveen Patnaik Governments’ “anti-people policies”.
Kumar would stay in Bhubaneswar for more days and supervise the party’s programmes, he said.
PCC president Sarat Pattanayak said the people are fed up with the Central and State Government policies. In 2024, there would be a change in Odisha’s political scene.
Later, Kumar attended a meeting of the Odisha unit of INDIA front. In the meeting, former PCC president Jaydev Jena, CPI(M)’s Janardan Pati, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s Anjali Soren, CPI(M)’s Ali Kishore Patnaik, Samajwadi Party State president Rabindra Behera, RJD’s Harish Mahapatra and AAP’S Soumyaranjan Swain were, among others, present.
